Are Doggo Bags really 100% compostable?
Yes — Doggo Bags are certified home compostable under AS 5810 and ABAP 20025, the Australian standards for true backyard compostability. That means no industrial facilities needed, no microplastics left behind.
What are Doggo Bags made from?
A renewable, plastic-free blend of:
- PLA (plant-based bioplastic from corn)
- PBAT (biodegradable polymer for strength)
- Cornstarch (natural and compost-friendly)
They’re tough on waste, easy on the planet.
Our packaging is 100% recyclable cardboard, printed with eco-friendly soy-based inks — no plastic, no waste.
Are the bags scented?
No. Our bags are unscented and free from artificial fragrances or harsh chemicals.
How long will it take to get my order?
Orders are processed and shipped within 24 hours and will typically take 5-7 business days to arrive. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email.
Will these fit my poop bag dispenser?
Yes — Doggo Bags are compatible with most standard poop bag holders on the market.
How big are the bags?
Each bag is 23cm wide x 33cm tall – roomy enough for large dogs. The rolls are 3.1cm wide x 6cm high, with 15 bags per roll and 9 rolls per box.
Can I compost these bags with dog poop?
Dog waste can be composted in a dedicated pet waste compost system, but not all composting methods are suitable due to potential pathogens. We recommend:
- Checking if your composting setup is designed for pet waste
- Never using pet-waste compost on edible plants (e.g. veggie gardens)
Always follow local council guidelines and compost safely.
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet — we currently ship Australia-wide only. All orders are sent using carbon-offset shipping.
Are these better than biodegradable bags?
Absolutely. “Biodegradable” is often a vague term and many so-called biodegradable bags still contain plastic and break down into microplastics. Doggo Bags are certified compostable, which means they fully decompose into natural elements — safely and cleanly.
